Nurt - "Nurt" {Poland} [1972] (Prog) (VBR)

The group was founded in the 71st year in Wroclaw razvalivcheixia party by the time the Romuald Roman & Roman Runovich, but the leadership passed to Alexandre Mrozieku. In the 72nd Nurt became a winner of the National Festival of Youth Music, and later, and Jazz Festival over River. In the 73rd Nurt recorded at the plate Muse, which has proved to be, the latest start-quick changes and the group disintegrated. All musicians continued more or less successfully serve other teams Mrozek and Tsvinar and became one of the legends of Polish rock, suffice it to say, for example, that they were part of the excellent team Test. In the early 1990s Mrozek re Nurt and they even recorded a CD. The sole plate is considered to be one of the best in Polish rock early 1970s. .This is a classic rock with a strong blues component plus top boxes.I recommend to familiarize download their magnum opus Strachu Syn with a magnificent solo jazz stars Tomasz Stanko.
Thanks to Opa-Loka for the info (Review and Line-up) :o)

  4. hi from Poland,
a great WOW!!! and thanks for promoting this stuff. Brilliant. However, a few things need clearing, okay, i don't mind your spelling (but maybe Messrs. Runowicz, Cwynar and Mrożek do), but:
    1. Cwynar and Mrożek did not play in Test, but - in the years 79-81 - in a seminal new wave group Porter Band, fronted by a Welshman living in Poland, John Porter. Their magnificent 1980 lp "Helicopters" still sounds great, a bit Television-esque. Nurt, I'm sorry to say, is quite little known in Poland.
    2. The CD contains only radio recordings of the songs and reportedly a few tracks sound "different" from the original LP. The vinyl is a rarity - i've never had it in my hands. Here, tracks 1-9 would be the original tracks, and 10-13 are bonus songs.
    cheers again, Darek
