STS (Seva, Top & Salmieri) - "Systeme Solaire" {France} [1997] (jazz fusion)

As requested by one of the friends at the PnF forum.

"Here's a disc that shows what bassist extraordinaire Jannick Top (best known for his proto-Ruins composition "De Futura" on Magma's 1976 album "Udu Wudu") has been up to lately. STS is his trio with sax player Eric Seva and drummer Claude Salmieri, and "System Solaire" is a live concert recording from '97, for which they were joined by guest guitarist Thibault Abrial. The nine planetarily-aligned tracks are both moody and energetic, dark jazz fusion with heavy Magma touches (Top and the drummer lock into some unmistakably Magmoid grooves), and the guitar adds a definite psych-rock element" - Aquarius Records.

The line-up is obvious.

Track-list:

1. Terre
2. Lune
3. Mercure
4. Venus
5. Soleil
6. Mars
7. Jupiter
8. Saturne
9. Kether

  2. Badongo is painfully slow. But thanks anyway.

Does anyone know what happened to the Progadelic, Progonblog and Mad Hatter's Music Blog blogs?

  3. Is there any chance you can re-up this to rapidshare or anything besides Badongo? Something is wrong with the server - this tops out at 5kbps.

Great choice on the music though!

  5. hi Serhiy,

I suppose it could be a great zeulh but it is impossible wait a 13 hours download (for half a file) by Badongo. Could you please re upload it with a faster one?
    thanks in advance

  6. Thanks for the feedback. For some reason, Rapidshare has been refusing all of my upload attempts recently, and I don't seem to be able to use as of now. Badongo I always regarded as the second best after Rapidshare in terms of both speed and usability. I've apparently been wrong as for some people it does not work well. Please advice me on the upload service to use, provided that Rapidshare is most likely to be unavailable.

  7. Why don't you use something like Massmirror or Sharebee?

  8. As the poster before me wrote, Massmirror or Sharebee are very good options. I recommend Mediafire also, because always work perfectly (besides some speed issues sometimes). Thank for your effort anyway

  9. OK, I will hopefully add a Massmirror, Sharebee or a Mediafire link in a few days.

  11. First let me express my gratitude for the fine and long term posts. You have exposed me to a lot of music I would not otherwise have come in contact with! Thank you!

Now my take on the current status of downloaders:

rapidshare- does exactly what it says it will do- if you're not a payer they impose long wait times, but overall they are a quality operation.

megaupload- slower than rapidshare with more spy and sell ware on their site.

badongo- has a policy of breaking up too many files into separate files and you may or may not be able to reconstitute a file at or above 100 MB as so many of them are.

zshare- nice and free. One of the best going right now. There is sellware but not too intrusive.

    mediashare- same as zshare.

some of the others are FROM HELL. They bury the link in a snow of adverting, They snow you with sell windows and you may have no link, they load slow, they break up while loading.

  14. Thanks for a great review of file hosting services, Robomatic! Unfortunately, only Badongo and Mediafire seem to work for me at the moment. Massmirror, Sharebee, and Rapidshare simply refuse the uploads. Megaupload requests its toolbar to be installed, which I don't want as it is fraught with adware. Zshare is the only one left to try. I'd prefer to be sticking to Mediafire as long as everyone is satisfied.

  15. I'm at a loss to explain why you can't get your stuff uploaded. Thanks for keeping at it and all the great posts and loads.
