The best way to describe this is progressive fusion rock. An all instrumental affair with songs in the 7 minute range played with the highest energy Ive ever seen. These guys never let up: soloing after soloing, each time with a different instrument taking the stage. There is violin, flute, guitar, keys and the usual bass guitar and drums. Its instrumental progressive rock, but it does not sound like Camel, its fusion, but its not like Mahavishnu or Return to Forever. Its aggressive (in a good way) with constant time changes and high, high energy. It doesnt take too long for these guys to get in high gear: as soon as the needle hits the wax, they are up and running and with maximum speed(taken from gnosis)

Fantastic album.....really nice.
ReplyDeleteVery cool stuff! Prolly more like Return To Forever than any of the other bands mentioned - I like it a lot! Thanks for this and ALL the other GREAT posts, you've turned me on to more great obscure music than any other blog! Many many THANKS!
ReplyDeleteMan ! What an album... you guys can really deliver the goodies that most people just spend years looking for without success!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot !
i was able to listen to a copy of this album years ago - a complete unknown to me - and it was like where did this come from. it is so rare that only the hardest of the hardcore know about them, let alone actually ever hear it.
ReplyDeletekudos!!
This is one of the best fusion albums I've ever heard, and yet until I saw it on the blog I had never actually heard of it before. I'm a long time fusion fanatic who considers himself to be pretty well-informed about the genre, but this was a complete surprise to me, and a very pleasant one at that. Thanks for posting this, and for all the other great stuff you've posted in the past, and everything I'm sure you'll post in the future. You're helping to keep the music alive, so please don't stop. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteYet another great post! Thank you once again.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised how good this album is. Its perfectly improviced and almost sounds like an early 70s album, which is good!

if anyone would like a Cd, we can let them have one direct from the guy who wrote and composed all the music, plus of course played the lead instrument.
ReplyDeleteif any one would like a CD, We can let people have a copy.
